Mountain Trails Camp is building a lodge by the river and would like church groups to consider coming to our camp to help us.

We would like to ask everyone to bring $300 per person towards building materials and your own cooks and food.   We can offer you a cool place to get away from the heat and in your off time, you can lounge around the river's edge to fish or do some gold panning.  Our area, the San Luis Valley, is considered the "Land of Cool Sunshine". 

We have had two Methodist groups come from south Texas for the past several years to help us build this mountain lodge.  Longview United Methodist and St. Johns Methodist Church of Rockdale, Tx.  We are  so thankful for all their efforts that we are calling the lodge, the "Methodist Mountain Lodge".  It will be the only winterized building on the place for winter programming for 8 youth.  We need plumbers that are familiar with Colorado Plumbing Codes.  We need to raise money for plumbing supplies and we need to finish the inside of the lodge.  We have some dry wall hung and want to put some wainescoating in as this building will be handicap accesssible and that will help keep the walls from getting damaged with wheel chairs.    We have some aspen paneling to install in the great room and  a deck to build   If your church would like to escape the heat and spend a week in the Colorado Mountains, call us and we will see what we can all do to finish our project while giving you a Colorado get away.  Check out our website www.mountaintrailscamp.org email: blessedsch@gmail.com  phone 719-852-3870
