Horseback Camp FAQ/Sample itinerary
Sample of a Daily Schedule for
Horseback Camp
7:30 am Wake up
8:00 am Breakfast: Bagels, cream cheese, cereal, fruit, Hot Chocolate, Milk
8:30 am Kitchen Clean up/cabin clean up
9:00 am Devotional
9:30-12 Horse ground lessons
12:00 Sandwich, chips, cookies, fruit, Koolaid
1:00 PM Rest/Quiet time in cabin
2-5 PM Horse Lessons and other activities
5:-5:30 Horse chores
6:30-8:30 Kitchen Clean up and campwide games
8:30 PM Campfire: Singing, story telling, recap of the day
9:30 PM Showers and bathroom-get ready for bed
10:00 PM Be in cabin, Lights out-Camp runs on generators so when generator is turned off, no lights. Flashlight needed!!

Sample Itinerary for a two day
We will discuss this and you can change any thing that doesn’t suit you.
Monday
9am Arrival, orientation to camp,
9:15 am Selectio n of cabins, move your gear in
9:45 am Meet at the flagpole for Leadership thought for the day
10:00 am Teambuilding, trust, communication,etc.
10:30 am Low ropes (problem solving)
12Jnoon Lunch: Sandwiches, chips, cookies, fruit, lemonade, coffee, tea
12:30 PM Kitchen clean up: 4 people to volunteer (dish washer, dry and put away, sweep and mop
1:00 PM Rest time-nap in your cabin or read or just relax
2:00 PM Ropes Course
5:00 PM Two volunteers to help with set up for dinner
5:30 PM Dinner: Lasagna, bread, salad, dessert
6:00 PM Kitchen Clean up 4 Volunteers
6:30 PM shooting sports
8:30 PM Campfire w/smores, bring your guitar, your stories, songs, your talents to share. Everyone is required to be at campfire. It is dangerous to walk around at night because there are holes and drop offs that can’t be seen at night.
9:30 PM Prepare for Bed, showers, etc.
10:00 PM Generator goes off and lights and water will turn off when generator is off.
Tuesday
8:00 am Wake up
8:30 am Breakfast: Bagels, Cream cheese/peanut butter, jelly, fruit, cereal and milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate.
9:00 am Kitchen clean up: 4 volunteers
9:30 am Thought for the day
10am Ropes and benefits of different personalities working together. Recognizing personality types.
Noon Lunch: Sandwiches, chips, cookies, fruit variety of drinks
12:30 PM Kitchen clean up
1:00 PM Rest or Afternoon activities: horseback riding, rock climbing/rapelling
2:00 PM High Ropes, (Personal challenge)
5:30 PM Dinner: Shepard's Pie, Fruit, rolls, dessert.
6:00PM Kitchen and Campground clean up
6:30 PM Closing ceremony
