Our Mission: Mountain Trails provides superior programming for youth and adults that will challenge them to reach new levels of personal achievement while emphasizing teamwork, trust, responsibility, accountability and leadership.

A Great Escape from the heat in summer!!

Avoid long lines at larger camps and come escape hot climates.  The San Luis Valley is known as the "Land of Cool Sunshine".

We offer recreation to church groups that bring their own spiritual teachers.  That helps us avoid confusion in denominational differences.  When you bring your teachers, you are responsible for the doctrines taught and we can plan  your meals and recreation around your teaching/worshipping schedule. 

Our location is in the mountains at approximately 8400 ft in elevation.  The quiet, peaceful, pristine, rustic setting is condusive to meditation and prayer undisturbed.   It is a great area to escape the bustle of everyday life to experience a relaxed atmosphere to commune with God.  The river gently flows behind  the cabins and lulls you gently to sleep at night. 

Elements of activities available are:  Horseback riding, low and high ropes course, rock climbing and rappelling, fishing (bring our own fishing gear) gold panning, (bring gold pans or aluminum pie pans for gold panning), medicine droppers to retrieve the  flower gold.- (Small flakes- we don't find chunks) 

Our camp is open from June-September.  Cost is $295 per person for groups of 10-64.  Capacity is 64 in cabins. We can extend that number to 100 if we add extra tents. 

Pastoral Retreats:  The camp is available for pastors to get away and to be restored by the serenity of the quiet peaceful atmosphere.   A time for you to get away from the constant demands on your time to refresh.   We will give you as much privacy as you want.  There is a phone if you need to call out and an answering service to retrieve messages from your secretary if you would like that access.
